Serve

Children at Worship Committee

Presents relevant lessons of Christian principles and education to children ages 4-12 during regular worship service.

Voices of Praise

Consists of young adults ages 13-35. Renders contemporary gospel selections on 2nd Sunday of each month.

Chancel Chior

 Consists of adult members of the church. Renders a variety of different genres of music throughout the service on the 1st and 3rd Sundays.

WPD Ensemble

Consists of adult members of the church. Renders a variety of different genres of music throughout the service on the 1st and 3rd Sunday.

Deaconess Board

Assists the pastor in developing the spiritual life of the women and girls in the church for the best possible Christian service.

Deacon Board

Sets a consistent example, both within and without the church body through their faithfulness, stewardship, ministry, witnessing, and fulfillment of the covenant obligations.

Trustee Board

Serves as custodians of the property and finances that belong the church.

Culinary Ministry

Prepares food for serving as well as insuring cleanliness of the kitchen and its facilities.

Hospitality Committee

Ensures visitors are recognized and made to feel welcomed during their church attendance. Also provides information to visitors about the membership in the church.

Ladies Aid

Composed of women who are committed to lending spiritual, physical, and social support to members of the church in joy, sickness, and bereavement.

Men's Club

Composed of men who are committed to advancing the church spiritually, promoting education, and providing support for those in need.

Missionary Society

Composed of women, men, boys, and girls who are willing to promote Christian education and missionary work in the community, the district, state, nation, and abroad. There are four circles and two auxiliaries: Esther, Lydia, Martha, Dorcas, Young Women’s Auxiliary ages 18-45, and the Youth Auxiliary ages 3-18.

Reference Board

Composed of members who are promote spiritual support and emotional comfort to members of the church.

Sunday School Council

Composed of members who are knowledgeable about biblical principles and who have completed the following: Pee Dee Baptist Association Workshops, South Carolina Baptist Congress of Christian Education, or the Progressive National Baptist Convention. They are responsible for promoting Christian evangelism.

Unit Leaders

Serve as liaisons between members of the church, the deacons, and the pastor to ensure that appropriate support is offered to members during distress or bereavement; also provide a line of communication between the officers of the church and the members.

Usher Ministry

Greets guest and members when entering the church for worship. Also maintains order throughout the worship service. Composed of Senior Usher, Intermediate Ushers, and the Youth Ushers.

Beautification Ministry

Appropriately decorates facilities for seasonal celebrations and special occasions and observances.

Health Ministry

Composed of members of the health care profession and volunteers who are responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating improvements of a comprehensive health program. Also provides opportunities for detection and screening for the membership and community.

Praise and Worship

Assist in leading worship through songs, prayers, and personal testimonies prior to worship service

Technology Ministry

Seeks to use technology to improve communication in the congregation and community and to help us to grow physically, intellectually and spiritually

Audio/Visual Ministry

 Composed of members who facilitate the audio and visual effort of the church during worship service and other various programs.
